How can I check the size of the artwork?
The dimensions of the painting are specified on the artwork page, indicated in centimeters. If you want to know the dimensions in other lengths, there are div. find converters on the internet. Any further questions, or would you like to receive a calculation from me? Please feel free to contact me!
Is the image on the site an accurate representation of the artwork?
The image is an accurate representation of the artwork, but has no contract value (the color reproduction of your screen may differ slightly). There are high-quality color photos on this website that give you a very good impression of the actual painting. The detailing and stratification of course only come into their own in reality. Feel free to view the feedback from art collectors. They tell me that the work is even more beautiful in real life!
Does the painting need to be framed?
All my paintings are ready to hang. The sides of my paintings are painted in the same shades as the work itself. This gives a beautiful spatial effect. A solid professional suspension system has been installed in the frame.
How do I buy art on Hesther van Doornum | Artstore?
To purchase a work of art, click on the “Acquire this artwork” button which is found on all artwork pages. You will then be redirected to your shopping cart. Once you click on “Continue”, your details will be asked to arrange delivery and then choose the payment method (iDeal, Paypal or bank transfers). Once the payment has been processed you will receive a confirmation. You will then receive a message as soon as payment has been received.
I hold the right to cancel an order, if the price or any of the specifications of an item are not displayed correctly. If it’s too good to be true, it usually is! Keep in mind an original artwork is €1000 and up and XS paintings are from up €300.
Are all the works in the STORE available for purchase?
I keep track of my stock. As soon as a painting is sold through my website, or through another gallery, I adjust this. However, it is possible that a gallery communicates a sale too late, in this case your purchase via this website always takes priority. If it is the case that purchases intersect, I will inform you immediately. This has not happened to date.
What are the accepted methods of payment?
I offer secure payment via iDeal, PayPal and direct bank transfers. Please note that with a direct bank transfer, the shipment is only prepared once the payment has been received. If you prefer to pay by credit card (so you can possibly pay in installments), you can easily link it to your PayPal account. Read about how to do this in just a few clicks here .
Is buying online safe?
I use a certified payment service (Mollie – www.mollie.com) voor veilige betalingen. I don’t store any payment details, they are only retained as required by the processing company to demonstrate approval for the transaction provided by the customer.
Do I need an account to place an order?
It is not necessary to create an account, you can use a guest account to place an order. Fill in your personal details at checkout, so I know where to send the package to.
What happens once the payment has been processed?
As soon as the payment has been processed, the painting is reserved for you! You will immediately receive an email to confirm availability and delivery times (delivery takes about 3-5 working days). Together we will arrange the best delivery day to the address you have provided.
Can I cancel my order?
If you wish to change or cancel the order of a non-commissioned artwork, please get in touch with me as soon as possible by e-mail. As long as the artwork is not packaged and shipped, I can change or cancel the order free of charge.
The work I wanted is no longer available - can I commission a similar work?

Is a Certificate of Authenticity issued?
All paintings are accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity. On it all the details of the painting (title, dimensions, year, technique, origin) are signed and provided with my unique family seal. See the information on my page Shipping & Delivery.
I've bought a painting from you in the past, but I haven't received a certificate...
It may be that you bought a painting from me through a gallery and did not receive a Certificate of Authenticity. Do you still want to receive it? E-mail me a picture of the artwork, together with the name of the gallery, and I will send you a signed copy by post!
