Inner Believe | Commissioned

Occasionally there is a slightly longer time between the paintings I post. This is because I do about 2/5ths of my paintings on commission. Because these commissions are often very personal – the wishes and stories I get to hear are personal and private – most of these works remain for the Privat eyes of the clients. So I do not post these artworks on social media or in my online portfolio. Because of this often very candid and intense contact, prior to and during the painting proces, the end result becomes a very intens and powerful painting; an interaction of my inspiration and that of my client, captured by my visual language.

This interaction gives me, besides the inspiration I get during – and lay into – the commission, also inspiration for my free works.

But, as a very dear client of my last commission wrote to me in a very supportive way: “Even though the work is for me personally, I know that it is also important for you. With this work you can show everyone around the world (as far as they don’t already know) what sublime work with inspiration you make that touches you to your core, and with so many beautiful shades of color!”.
So, with approval (thank you brave and beautiful M!), I show you, by exception, this commission.
